Threads of Love

Central Illinois Threads of Love is a ministry serving premature babies and their families in Illinois hospitals, especially OSF Hospital in Peoria.  FPC has hosted Threads of Love since 2004.  Our ecumenical mission involves women from several churches in Delavan, who come together to sew blankets and sleepy vests, to knit hats and booties, and to make “lovie dolls.” 

You do not need to know how to sew or knit in order to help, because many of the tasks do not require sewing or knitting.Our workshop meets once a month at First Presbyterian Church.  We have given thousands of articles for the newborns at OSF.  Anyone is welcome to join us in this important and rewarding mission.  It is a time for fun, chatting, and laughter, and for sharing God’s love with others.
