St. Valentine's Day Party for Delavan-area Children, We are having a St. Valentine's Day party! This party is intended for all the children of the Delavan area ages 5 to 10. The party will be in our church basement. (The entrance to the basement is on the West side of the church, between the church and the white house right next door.) There will be games, Valentine making, cookie decorating, and snack eating. Parents are welcome to join the party, too, visit with friends, make some new friends, and help to make it a special day for the children on 04 February 2012 02:00 PM

Threads of Love, Women from our congregation and the local community gather once a month in our church basement to sew and knit warm clothing for newborns and premature infants at local hospitals. You don't need to know how to sew or knit in order to help. Ash Wednesday Service, Imposition of Ashes, Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, the forty days (not counting Sundays!) that lead up to Easter. We will be observing the beginning of Lent with an Ash Wednesday service, which will be a time of prayer, listening to Scripture, being invited into the Easter journey with Christ, and asking God to help us focus on the blessings of penitence and forgiveness. For those who wish it, there will be the imposition of ashes (the sign of the cross placed upon the forehead or the back of the hand, done in the ashes of last year's Palm Sunday palms--this is how we get the name Ash Wednesday).
